Black Garlic Popcorn made with Black Garlic Powder
More Popcorn is consumed in America than in any other country in the world - that makes Popcorn a VIS (Very Important Snack) here in the good ol’ U.S. of A! Obviously, Americans agree that popcorn is a top contender in the snack market, but if you ask your fellow Americans what the best popcorn flavor is, well, that won’t be so easy to determine.
Though our buttered and salted Classic Popcorn is a favorite among almost one-third of us, the remaining favorite flavors seem to be in a three-way tie for second place. If you’re not a movie theatre popcorn fan then odds are your favorite popcorn flavor is among these runners-up:
Caramel Corn - 16% say this is their favorite popcorn
White Cheddar - 16% as well
Kettle Corn - 15%
Did we mention your favorite flavor, or do you crave more unique popcorns, such as Beer, Taco, or Pregnancy Mix (Ice Cream & Dill Pickle combo)? Personally, I can eat an entire bag of Kettle Corn in one sitting but that’s probably not something about which I should be bragging.
This National Popcorn Day, we at Black Garlic North America present to you Black Garlic Popcorn made with our black garlic powder! We just know that you will love the recipe and that you will revise it to suit your tastes (More butter? Less salt? More BG? Go for it!) I personally love the ingredient combo “as-is” but my 93-year old popcorn-loving grandfather insisted that I use one stick of butter for every twelve kernels; perhaps he is more of a fan of butter than he is of popcorn.

BLACK GARLIC POPCORN BY THE BGNA KITCHEN
Prep Time: 5 minutes | Recipe Time: 10 minutes / Servings: 4 - 6
Ingredients:
4-6 cups Popped Popcorn (approx 1/2 cup kernels)
1/4 cup Unsalted Butter, melted*
3/4 tsp Sea Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
2 TBSP Dried Parsley *
Directions
Pop the popcorn!
Toss with melted Unsalted Butter!
Mix Sea Salt, Black Powder, Black Pepper and Dried Parsley together, mix into buttered popcorn thoroughly. Enjoy!
* Add butter to suit your taste.
* Omit parsley to suit your tastes.
