This weekend, American flags will be flying and our departed U.S. Military heroes will be honored. Many of us use this weekend to remember the ones who courageously gave their lives in service to our country; and we take this time to count our blessings and stand proud!
Memorial Day Weekend is often full of time in the sun (especially for those of us who have just emerged from our long Winter hibernation), making memories with friends and family, and delicious food. Families across America will be rolling out their grills and cracking open cold ones (water for me!) while the kids jump on the trampoline or draw chalk cartoons on the driveway. This weekend, sunscreen will be slathering, bug spray will be spraying and sparklers will be waving. And, if you are a foodie like I am, then you are probably looking forward to all the grilled, baked, fried and frozen goodies that you will be breaking your New Year’s Resolutions to enjoy!
To help with your Memorial Day Weekend meal prepping, we have assembled a delicious list of recipes you can create for the family this weekend, and all of the recipes use black garlic! Black garlic is a secret weapon when it comes to cooking, and if you haven’t tried it yet then you should shop our selection, enjoy the free shipping, and see why our black garlic is the new “go-to” ingredient for just about anything you make, bake, boil and buy!
Black garlic goes great with cheesy foods, sweets (honey, chocolate, maple syrup), sauces, crackers, cookies, and more; you can find out more ways to use black garlic here.
Home cooks and pros alike are LOVING our new Granulated Black Garlic Powder for easy sprinkling into their condiments and dressings, on meats and seafood, on veggies, chips or fries, and in soups. This “umami fairy dust” is going to add flavor to any dish you make this weekend and will become your new favorite all-purpose seasoning (I will be using it on my roasted veggies and in my salad dressing)! I recently gave a shaker of black garlic powder to my pickiest friend and he loved it so much that he bought it for his mom for her birthday this year! She later called me to say she is using it in everything, and especially loves it in soups (Hi, Anna Y. from Indiana!)
This weekend, we hope you enjoy the time you spend with your family and friends. And if you make any of the recipes we share below, be sure to send us a private message on social media so that we can see the photos and share them with black garlic lovers everywhere!
Stay hungry, black garlic fans!

Broccoli is one of my all-time favorite foods; even as a single person, I buy multiple heads of the green good stuff every week Needless to say, I am pretty excited about this recipe, which calls for broccoli, yummy Kalamata olives, pomegranate molasses, and more.
